Evana Automation Specialists Recognized By SEA for Operational Excellence

Evansville, Indiana - 11/23/2009 – Evana Automation Specialists, a leading Systems Integrator and builder of custom automated assembly and test systems, was recently honored as a Top Five Finalist in the category of Operational Excellence at the Supplier Excellence Alliance (SEA) 2009 Aerospace & Defense Awards Ceremony. The event was held November 10-12 in Palm Springs, California. SEA is an unprecedented aerospace and defense alliance led by sub-tier suppliers committed to accelerating supply chain performance.

Evana Automation Specialists, a subsidiary of Phillips Service Industries, Inc., was selected as an Operational Excellence Finalist by SEA for its ability to set and review priorities for Kaizen events, ensure effective deployment of 6S Visual Workplace strategies for workplace organization, continually reduce changeover and setup times, as well as improve material management in support of Lean and Flow manufacturing objectives.
